Warranty
Our Commitment
J2 Flooring is committed to delivering high-quality flooring systems installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. Every project is completed with a focus on proper preparation, quality workmanship, and long-term performance.
Because flooring systems are installed in real-world environments and over existing concrete substrates, certain conditions and variables exist that are beyond our control. The following standards and warranty terms apply to all projects unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Project Standards
Environmental Conditions
Epoxy, urethane, and resinous flooring systems are field-applied products installed in active environments—not sterile manufacturing facilities. While every reasonable effort is made to maintain a clean work area, J2 Flooring cannot guarantee a workspace completely free of airborne contaminants, insects, pests, or environmental influences during installation and curing.
The following conditions are considered outside the control of J2 Flooring and are not considered defects:
- Insects, flies, ants, spiders, or other pests becoming trapped in the coating during application or curing.
- Footprints, marks, or contamination caused by rodents, wildlife, pets, or unauthorized personnel entering the work area before the floor has fully cured.
- Dust, pollen, debris, pet hair, airborne particles, or contaminants introduced from surrounding environments.
- Environmental conditions resulting from open doors, active construction, adjacent trades, HVAC systems, or wind exposure.
The property owner is responsible for securing the work area and maintaining appropriate pest control measures before, during, and after installation.
Industry Standard Appearance
All flooring systems installed by J2 Flooring are evaluated according to accepted industry standards.
Because resinous flooring systems are hand-installed products, minor cosmetic variations may occur and are considered normal characteristics of the installation process.
Final appearance shall be evaluated:
- From a normal standing position.
- Under typical ambient lighting conditions.
- At normal viewing distances.
Inspection methods that are not considered valid include:
- Viewing the floor while kneeling or lying on the surface.
- Shining flashlights, work lights, phone lights, or spotlights across the floor at sharp angles.
- Examining the floor under unusually bright or specialized lighting conditions intended to magnify minor imperfections.
Minor variations in texture, gloss, color, aggregate distribution, roller marks, or other cosmetic characteristics that do not affect performance are not considered defects.
Limited One-Year Warranty
J2 Flooring warrants that the installed flooring system will be free from defects in workmanship and manufacturer-supplied materials for a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial completion.
This warranty covers:
- Loss of adhesion caused by installation defects.
- Blistering directly resulting from installation defects.
- Defects in manufacturer-supplied materials.
- Installation that substantially fails to conform to applicable manufacturer specifications.
For projects completed in multiple phases, the warranty period begins separately for each phase upon substantial completion.
Warranty Remedy
If a valid warranty claim is confirmed during the warranty period, J2 Flooring's sole obligation shall be to repair or replace the affected area at its discretion.
Repair or replacement of the affected area shall constitute the owner's exclusive remedy.
Under no circumstances shall J2 Flooring be liable for:
- Loss of business income.
- Loss of use of the facility.
- Business interruption.
- Lost profits.
- Consequential, incidental, indirect, or special damages.
Filing a Warranty Claim
Any warranty concern must be submitted in writing within thirty (30) days of discovery.
The notice must include:
- Project address.
- Description of the issue.
- Photographs, when applicable.
- Contact information.
The owner must provide J2 Flooring reasonable access to inspect and evaluate the reported condition.

- The owner denies reasonable access for inspection or repair.
- Written notice of the alleged defect is not provided in a timely manner.
